Yva Momatiuk and John Eastcott both photographed individually before they met and fell in love in Wyoming. Eastcott earned his degree in photography while Momatiuk started out in architecture. After deciding to photograph together, they photographed mostly animals and landscapes around the world. They have written and photographed several stories for National Geographic, as well as many other magazines, and earned many awards from groups such as the National Press Photographers Association and the Alaska Conservation Foundation among others.
